Shirley and Jerry* Nudelman

Our parents and grandparents were wonderful examples of generosity and charity. For me, it started when I was very young. I joyfully remember the tzedakah box on the windowsill in our kitchen into which I placed my pennies. Community was very important to my parents. I loved watching my mother create intricate silk flower arrangements that she donated, to as many Jewish events as she could, for many years. As our family grew, we all continued the tradition of giving both financially, what we could, and of our time. Throughout the years both Congregation Neveh Shalom and Cedar Sinai Park were, and continue to be, integral parts of our lives. Jerry (z”l) and I are happy we are able to honor our memories and build a bridge for Portland’s Jewish future by leaving a legacy through our Donor Advised Fund at the Oregon Jewish Community Foundation.
